Incident Scenario: Student Refusal of an Accommodation

Let's look at an example of an irregularity issue where a student is offered but refuses an accommodation.  A test examiner has completed the directions and instructed students to begin the test sessions.  While monitoring students, the test examiner observes a student not using a headset that is required for a read-aloud accommodation. The Test Examiner quietly asks the student why the student is not using the headphones.  The student replies that the read-aloud is distracting and he prefers reading the text himself.
